Stefan's Cardiology Checkup

Stefan had his cardiology apt today. What a difference a year makes! No more need to sedate him, he walked in, all smiles and let them hook him up and do his testing. He was proud.
We met with the Chief of Cardiology this time and thought it was nice to have another opinion. Stefan is still having leakage from the pulmonary value (which is to be expected in his condition) his right ventricle is enlarged, BUT has not enlarged visibly from what it was last year. So that is good news, he is tolerating his leakage and no additional enlargement of the heart. This doctor felt that Stefan will be able to get into his teen years before needing a valve put in. Which is great too, as last year doc thought within the next few years. Obviously it is all going to go year by year, as he gets older they will do additional 'exercising' studies to test his heart and physical activity, etc. But we were very happy to see that things have stayed the same over the year and we are looking farther off for future surgeries etc. :)
